TH412 Telehandler: Compact and powerful
All wheel steering, low centre of gravity and excellent stability distinguish the TH412 telehandler. The integrated driver assistance system VLS (Vertical Lift System) ensures safety, while also increases the operator comfort. The electronically regulated drive system with various operator modes enables an externally productive work operation with the machine. Thanks to its low operating weight and very compact dimensions, the TH412 can be transported on a car trailer without any problems. This makes its flexible for use in many different areas.

- Electronically controlled drive system: Smarter driving and working: With the electronically regulated drive system, the machine can be driven and used completely needs-based. Wacker Neuson has implemented four different operator modes especially for this. Auto mode and Eco mode always come as standard. Optionally you can then either select the attachment mode or the M-drive mode. This provides the operator with maximum flexibility because the machine can be configured according to their requirements. The electronic regulation reduces the losses in the drive system and ensures a higher rate of efficacy as well as increased efficiency when compared with existing solutions. A lower power requirement enables operation with low rpms. Due to a very finely tuned protective measure package, reliable and durable working using the machine has also been enabled.
- Electric parking brake: The electric parking brake automatically activates if the machine stands still, the direction of travels is set to neutral or the operator leaves the seat. The parking brake is automatically released if the machine is put into gear using the accelerator. This provides the operator and their working environment with a maximum level of safety and comfort. The machine can therefore be operated more efficiently using the electric parking brake. Naturally, the electric parking brake can likewise be manually activated and deactivated by operating a switch. The operator therefore always has control and can work with the machine in accordance with their requirements. The electric parking brake provides both a comfortable auto-hold and hill-hold function. This prevents the machines from unintentionally rolling away and in doing so increases safety when working.
- VLS (Vertical Lift System): The VLS (Vertical Lift System) is a driver assistance system that makes the work easier for the operator when lifting or lowering loads by extending and retracting the telescopic boom semi-automatically when lifting and lowering, respectively, without the operator having to additionally control the telescopic function. This makes smooth and quick work possible. The almost vertical lifting and lowering movement also makes the telehandler with the VLS very stable because the load does not enter into the overload area. Experienced operators can work even faster and safer with the VLS. Inexperienced operators receive valuable support for lifting and loading work. The VLS (Vertical Lift System) can be categorised into two different modes: In the bucket mode, the telescopic arm always automatically retracts within the upper and lower area and within the upper area the telescopic arm does not automatically extend, this is suitable, for example, for loading works with bulk material. The stacking mode, the telescopic boom does not automatically retract within the lower area, in the upper area the telescopic boom automatically extends, it is possible to simultaneously lower and extend the telescopic arm, this is, for example, suitable for stacking work with pallets.
- Colour-oriented operating concept: All of the operating elements are within reach and the most important machine information is always within the operator’s view via the optimally positioned display. The switch and operating elements are colour-coordinated into different groups: grey = electric, red = safety, blue/orange = drive system, green = hydraulics. This way, quick detection and orientation are guaranteed. The standardised Wacker Neuson operation philosophy and the colour-oriented operating concept enable the operator intuitive operation of the machine. The quick orientation makes working with the machine easier for new or changing operators, while simultaneously increase work safety.
- Compact and powerful: The telehandler TH412 is characterised by its ideal ratio of lift height, compact dimensions and powerful machine output. This combination is unique in such a compact machine. With the all wheel steering, 4-wheel drive and one-piece frame, it is completely stable and well-equipped for many different tasks. The low centre of gravity of the machine also increases the stability. Especially when things become tight, for example, work processes in storage facilities or tight construction sites, the TH412 is characterised by its small turning radius and optimum manoeuvrability.
- Engine standard: The standard engine in the TH412 provides 18.4 kW / 25 hp18.4 kW / 25 hp. The big advantage with this is that it meets emission stage V but does not require any type of exhaust after-treatment. This engine version is also well suited for light applications, like, for example, the simple materials handling and users who would complete fewer operating hours with their machine. With the standard engine in the TH412, we are dealing with a 3-cylinder common rail, with high torque and substantive efficiency. No exhaust after-treatment is required for this engine; as a result, the maintenance costs are automatically reduced and there is no need to replace a DPF.
- Engine option: A larger engine with 33.3 kW / 45.3 hp is available as an optional extra for the TH412. This version was developed for the professional use of power-demanding attachments. In this instance, the emission standard Stage V was implemented with the installation of a diesel particulate filter (DPF) in combination with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC). Urea solution (DEF) need not be added with this technology. The whole engine unit comes from the same manufacturer, inclusive of the exhaust after-treatment, so that all components are perfectly coordinated with one another and the machine is automatically regenerated at a corresponding operating temperature. This is a powerful 3-cylinder common rail engine, which is characterised by its high power density.
- Comfort cabin: The cabin is captivating with its generous provision of space, optimised overview and perfect ergonomics. The organisation of the cabin elements therefore follow a modern operating philosophy and a colour-oriented operating concept for efficient and fatigue-free work. Features, such as the armrest with an integrated storage compartment, sun-blind, optimised heating and ventilation, as well as the optional air-conditioning system, ensure an extraordinarily high level of comfort.:
- Ergonomic joystick: The joystick lies securely and comfortably in your hand. As a result, control is direct and sensitive at the same time. In this way, the operator always has the machine and its key functions under control. Alongside the standard functions, e.g. selection of the direction of travel and the speed level, it is possible to operate many other functions, like e.g. the differential lock, the 3rd and 4th control circuit, high-flow and all electrical functions, via the joystick. This means that attachments can be comfortably operated using one hand and the operator therefore always has the key functions under control. This increases efficancy and ensures fatigue-free work, even over a longer period of time. The 3rd control circuit function can be proportionally operated using the joystick. The 3rd control circuit’s continuous operation can likewise be activated via a switch by moving the thumbwheel on the joystick in both directions. The telescopic function can also be operated proportionally so that the boom speed can be controlled. Both electrical functions can also be operated on the joystick in a detenting or latching manner. Both electric functions are independent so that they can be individually configured by the operator.
- Efficient change of attachments: Thanks to the hydraulic quickhitch system, attachments can be readily exchanged. In this way, your machine is immediately ready for use again. This increases productivity and profitability. The good view of the coupling points makes changing attachments very easy. Also, changing over is particularly safe with 2-hand operation when decoupling. The hydraulic quickhitch system for trailers comes as standard for the Wacker Neuson telehandlers TH412 and TH522.
- Perfect visibility upwards: A telehandler's advantages come into play when it comes to stacking the load high. Upward visibility is also crucial in order to securely place the load at a great height. With Wacker Neuson telehandlers, the cabin and windscreen are designed so that the operator always has the load in view, even at maximum lift height. The three windscreen wipers (front, rear and roof) ensure optimal visibility at all times.:
- Excellent all-round visibility: The TH412’s cab provides a good overview of the attachments, the immediate work area and the entire area around the machine. In combination with the sloping engine bonnet, the low side window on the right-hand side and the high seat position ensure an optimal view. This increases safety across the machine's entire work area. Thanks to the wide front windscreen and roof window, it is always possible to view the attachment. This is particularly important to effectively and safely work with the telehandler at height.
- Good illumination of the work area: Lighting can be adapted to various requirements depending on the model: Halogen lighting, lighting according to Road Traffic Regulations (StVZO) (halogen or LED), LED lighting (normal or performance), rotating beacons and additional headlights on the telescopic arm. This makes customised work with the machine possible, even in the dark. Good illumination of the work area increases work safety and provides the operator with a longer period of time to work with the machine fatigue-free.
- Optimum ease of servicing: The engine bonnet can be opened wide using just one handle for regular service and maintenance jobs. The hydraulic oil tank, air filter, engine oil filling, oil-level dipstick and coolant are therefore quickly and easily accessible. Service jobs can be quickly and easily executed, in turn automatically maximising the machine’s availability, which again reduces the overall operating costs (TCO).
- The telehandler as an equipment carrier: Telehandlers are used for a huge range of jobs, and Wacker Neuson offers an equally extensive portfolio of attachments. - Three types of steering for maximum flexibility: 1. All-wheel steering: full manoeuvrability and control in the smallest area. 2. Front-wheel steering: for safe driving, even at higher speeds. 3rd Crab steering: sideways driving for ultra-precise manoeuvring in tight spaces.
